So I finished a Large and Orange and Unbloggable project that I will someday share with you and I love it but it took forever and when it was done I merrily went through my sadly dwindling stash and pulled out my beloved Sliver Moon Superwash Fingering, and after some internal debate I cast on Plain and Simple Pullover. Which I think will be wonderful and I will wear it and adore it but dear God US 2.5 needles and acres of stockinette? That will make Large Orange seem like the fastest knitting ever!
Clearly I'm in need of a little instant gratification knitting. So you know what I moved on to? A long and intense and probably overly-complicated design I've been contemplating with Ellen's Halfpint Merino/Tencel laceweight on US 4 needles--cause there's a gigantic gauge and a quick project?!
Blargh. But I don't really know what else to do here--for starters, that's pretty much all I have in my stash, which is a sad, sad state of affairs and clearly in need of remedy, but what would I buy if I did go shopping? I've made three scarves already this Winter, five hats, four normal-gauge sweaters--it's time to start moving into Spring knitting, but everything that appeals to me has a gauge meant for fairy fingers!
It's bumming me out. I don't normally suffer from knitting malaise.
