Well, we're back, and very glad of it, but on our very last day Willow and I both caught a nasty cold. We've spent much of today sitting on a chair in the sun singing songs and playing "This Little Piggy"--that little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home fourteen times in a row. If there'd been a fifteenth, we might have had pork for dinner. And let me tell you, there's nothing like sitting around skimming the Style section about Oscar's outfits while sitting in a snot-covered, faded, stretched out t-shirt.
This cold, however, is an indication to me that Winter is on its way out, and that we will in fact have more than twenty minutes of sunshine a day again, and that we can actually enjoy said sunshine outdoors. Now that Willow is walking all around I am so looking forward to being outside. It's a whole new world for her. Seriously, when she's not sick, this is all I see of her.
We're still, by the way, struggling with the thrills of "I don't need a nap." She is Mistaken. I have taken to putting my foot down and insisting--whereby after 40 minutes of argument she takes a nice long nap. I'm holding steady, but it is...how shall I put this? Really annoying.

I hope she starts feeling better, sweet thing. From the other blogs I'm reading, it seems that everyone who travelled came home sick. What's with that?
