Vastly inferior to real eggnog, but that takes awhile--and anyway I'll post my recipe for that soon enough, since I'll probably make myself some this weekend. But in the meantime...
2 poached eggs (hint: don't put the vinegar in the water. Let it get all foamy, stir it up even, because the foam blends a lot better).
3 not shy scoops Vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 cup whole milk
Blend it all really really well. Give the blender time to cut up whatever chunky egg whites there may be. Strain out whatever's left, and enjoy.
Serves 1 hungry pregnant woman.

it occurs to me that perhaps we should try barely poaching the eggs instead--none of the difficulty of peeling the shells of a not-quite-soft-boiled egg. my sister might have been the one to give me this idea.
These look absolutely fabulous! I have to do some eggnog baking.
